Last week, I made the mistake of starting with a personal trainer. Yesterday, I had an arm workout. Today, I can't move my arms. So, this is not going to be a long post. Ow.
So, I'll leave you with good news and bad news.
The bad news: A creationist has been appointed as the head of the Texas State Board of Education. No really. Check out Phil Plait's blog about this for a great synopsis of how much this sucks.
The good news: There is hope, even in the Bible Belt. I met Richard a few weeks ago at the Brights meetup. He feels strongly about providing all the community and social structure that many people find in religion for people who don't believe. He's recently started a site around this purpose. Check it out. Support him. Talk on the forums. Come to the Meetups. Participate. Talk. Laugh. Argue. Fight.
I'd do it myself, but I can't move my arms right now.
Ow.
